Who We're Seeking:
As a member of our growing engineering organization, you will come in as a seasoned software engineer. You will help our technology grow as quickly as our revenue, and will dive into our e-commerce platform to create a best-in-class experiences for our donors.
This is a hybrid development and technical project management role, allowing you to stay hands on with code and architecture, while managing a small group of software engineers from a project perspective (you will not be responsible for weekly 1:1 meetings and performance reviews). As a lead engineer, you will work collaboratively with product management and design to influence and drive end-to-end feature delivery, and will be a champion of best practices for writing well-tested, well-organized, scalable code.
Lead a team of 4-6 software engineers on a project-basis to drive development from concept to consumed solution
Write well designed, testable and reliable code as you ship features that help support amazing causes world-wide
Establish a results-oriented work environment based on accountability
Provide guidance and best practices with regards to design, code, and release processes
Lead and contribute to code reviews and technical architecture discussions
Collaborate with Product to drive a highly responsive system that ensures code quality, stability, scalability, and meets desired goals
AWS, Golang, React, Redux
Our Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or scientific discipline; and 5+ years in software engineering
7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer without relevant degree
2+ years developing across a full-stack
AWS experience required
Proven ability to design and implement robust and scalable systems
Professional experience with multiple programming languages
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills in technical and non-technical cohorts
Familiar and comfortable with modern technologies, tradeoffs, and the design patterns emerging in web services
Passionate about helping others and a team-focused approach towards software development
You take your work seriously but not yourself
Based in Culver City, Los Angeles; open to relocating candidates
