As a key member of our Platform Engineering team, you will play a role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary to support Omada’s mission. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for both the operational integrity of our infrastructure, and DevOps processes which help other engineers to get more done with less pain.

Your impact:

  • You will be part of the development and operation of Omada’s digital health program infrastructure.
  • You will play a key role building and scaling our platform one piece at a time, supporting our ability to deliver a personalized experience to program participants, and empowering our health coaches to deliver timely and effective interventions
  • You will work closely (including pair programming) with the rest of the Platform team, collaborating frequently with internal customers from our product engineering teams, InfoSec, and beyond
  • You will build cross-functional relationships with software engineers, data scientists, and technical program managers to understand stakeholder needs, and deliver solutions addressing those needs.
  • You will manage high availability and disaster recovery systems, procedures, and readiness.
  • You will maintain and enhance our Gitlab CI/CD infrastructure.
  • You will work with developers to design and improve developer tooling and capability, such as secrets management with Vault, or cloud development environments.
  • You will mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members.

Requirements for this role:

  • Experience designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures.
  • Experience operating a container orchestrator (bonus points for Kubernetes clusters experience like EKS).
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring, metrics, observability, logging, and so on.
  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal. Skilled at writing documentation for others.
  • Comfortable working in, configuring, and troubleshooting virtual Linux server environments.
  • Skilled at building, deploying, and orchestrating Docker images and containers.
  • Willing to participate in an on-call rotation, for when something important does break.

  • Experience writing Golang
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry

Below is a summary of salary ranges for this role in the following geographies:

California, New York State and Washington State Base Compensation Ranges: $166,400 - $208,000*, Colorado Base Compensation Ranges: $149,760 - $187,200*. Other states may vary.

This role is also eligible for participation in annual cash bonus and equity grants. 

*The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, such as the candidate's skills and experience, and other business considerations.
