About the Role:  

OLIVER is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a one-year-old, high-profile account for a Fortune 500 financial services firm. This relatively new global account has already seen growth and is continuing to expand.  

The Senior Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for helping lead the development and architecture of interactive projects and scalable products collaborating with a very skilled and passionate team of designers, developers, content strategists, product people and producers. You will have the opportunity to lead the development on a variety of projects including, but not limited to, web applications for desktop and mobile, large dot-com site frameworks, experiential applications, and creative digital campaigns. As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you’ll be leading the build of large sites and technically complex projects with an eye to architecture, structure, and scalability beyond the bespoke execution.

What you will be doing:  

This global dedicated team is comprised of project managers, creative and digital designers, developers, content strategists, copy editors and video producers. The team also partners closely with Mexico, the UK and Mumbai. 

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and others in the creation of design-detailed, UX-savvy digital products 
  • Participate in the software design, development, and implementation using Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets)  
  • Provide deep knowledge expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets) and working knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud products (Target, Forms, Analytics, Audience Manager) 
  • Assist in the conceptual and technical design, using object-oriented design techniques and Adobe best practices 
  • Assist with the estimation of development tasks, project planning, risk identification and mitigation planning 
  • Assist in defining/designing/implementing the development architecture 
  • Independently interface with client technical teams and business owners as needed during the design and implementation  
  • Showcase your AEM expertise by leading/educating others on the functional and technical capabilities  
  • Build on a collection of robust, reusable web components with HTML, CSS, and Javascript that others will be happy to pick up and work with 
  • Create experiences that are accessible, immersive, and forward-compatible aligning with standards and best practices 
  • Write consistent clean, readable code that can be easily maintained 
  • Architect front-end solutions for larger web applications, sites, emerging formats, determining modularity, systematic design, and planning for extensibility and scale 
  • Rapid prototyping and knowing when to evolve prototypes to a production-ready state

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Experience working with 3rd party services, APIs, and content management systems (particularly Adobe Experience Manager AEM or Wordpress) 
  • Experience in multiple modern front-end web technologies including: HTML/5, HTL, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (ie. React/Angular, ES6/7/8/Next, Node etc.)  
  • Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, vanilla JavaScript and post-processors (SASS, LESS, PostCSS, etc) and their configs. 
  • Experience with one or more back end/server-side technologies including: SOAP/REST, SQL/NoSQL databases, ESB, and Microservices  
  • Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse  
  • Experience with project automation technologies: CVS, SVN, Git, github, Jira, Selenium, SonarCube, maven, Jenkins, Continuum, Hudson  
  • Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: Tomcat, Apache Http, Solr, open source packages, Content Delivery Networks (CDN)  
  • Expertise with dependency management tools (NPM, Browserify, RequireJS, etc.) 
  • Proficient in building applications and custom workflows using AEM technologies (Java/Sling/JCR). 
  • Experience implementing and working with analytics providers such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Ominture 
  • Knowledge of SEO and Accessibility and security best practices (OWASP, etc.). 
  • Deep understanding of web optimization techniques for performance and load time 
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Workfront, etc. 
  • 6 to 10 years’ experience of building multiple sites or apps, taking different approaches, and solving various technical and creative issues with thorough research 
  • Stellar animation principles and experience with animations libraries 
  • Experience with canvas, webGL, three.js, or other creative web/emerging technologies 
  • Experience with other non-web technologies, such as Swift, Java, Objective-C, Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.
