JOB TITLE: Field Marketing Manager

The Google Cloud Marketing team is responsible for raising awareness and interest about Google Cloud among developers, start-ups and enterprises, while assisting our audience through a seamless customer journey, from interest to discovery, trial, commitment and advocacy, fueling market share growth. 

As the India Field Marketing Manager for Security and Public Sector, you are a fully dedicated marketing leader, leading our India Go-to-Market strategy and operations, shaping the future of our Security and Public Sector solutions that are part of Google Cloud, and be part of an entrepreneurial team in a rapidly growing business. Based in our Delhi/Mumbai location, you will be driving awareness, new business acquisition and customer retention programs. You are a passionate and results-driven individual with experience in a software or other high-tech cloud B2B organization. 

This role will involve developing strategy for our outreach programs, managing our events, building a large, loyal and engaged customer base and actively working with a direct sales team on scalable enterprise and start-up marketing programs and campaigns across multiple segments and channels.


 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Strategize, execute, rollout and optimize new customer acquisition campaigns and programs aligned to horizontal and vertical solutions including events, training programs (such as bootcamps and hackathons), outbound campaigns, external trade shows and customer stories.
  • Strategize, execute, rollout and optimize campaigns to drive customer retention, product engagement, and retention including customer conferences, seminars, education and engagement tactics.
  • Grow awareness, familiarity and perception for Google Cloud Security and Google Cloud in key local cities and markets amongst the CxO and Security Professionals in the region.
  • Develop, socialize and get buy-in of the India’s marketing strategy and programs, working closely with India’s sales leadership teams.
  • Work closely with the sales teams and Demand Management team and extended Google Cloud Marketing teams to drive opportunity and business growth.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant B2B marketing or field marketing experience..
  • Experience with Security, Public Sector and IT decision-maker audiences.
  • Experience with managing digital campaigns for demand generations and web-based marketing and email programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BE/MBA Marketing degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs; Project management skills including: managing agencies, vendors and global projects.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce.com or similar) and marketing automation tools (Marketo or similar) and tracking tools to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Ability to communicate with technical groups, and express complex concepts in a non-technical language.
  • Distinctive problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities with a strong track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.
  • Excellent teamwork – organizing and managing with multiple stake-holders and contributing groups.
