Role: Senior Social Media Account Manager (FTC - 6 months)

Location: London & Slough (1 day per week), England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Senior Account Manager will run the day to day operations of a retained client influencer team. You will be a master of organisation and have a passion for making things happen. Your attention to detail is second to none. You are 3 steps ahead, identifying challenges and opportunities before they surface. Your advertising and marketing industry experience will have been focused on influencer and social marketing, with proficiency in creator relationship and client management.

The purpose of the role is not only to lead client relationships, becoming a trusted and valued advisor and partner, but also to manage engagements involving influencers. We need a budding leader to help shape what the Influencer team looks like and how it functions. This person should also understand how to partner with and get the best quality work out of the team.

The successful candidate will be passionate about social channels (including TikTok) and have a strong understanding of digital disciplines and be able to advise clients to create effective and powerful partnerships. They will have a balance of technical skills (you love Excel), effective communication, and organization skills. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and enjoy solving problems, finding resources, taking ownership of work and supporting the greater team. They will like efficiency and take the lead on identifying, developing, implementing and improving process. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can quickly adapt to changing priorities, and can work independently but also enjoy helping others. They can juggle multiple priorities, think creatively and progressively, manage client needs and expectations, and present to clients confidently.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be working alongside other members of the Influencer team (the Influencer Manager, the Community Manager and the Social & Insight Analyst). Markets will include UK, NA, EMEA (so relationships with creators/influencers across these regions will be very beneficial). 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Manage project execution  

  • Work in true collaboration with client and be responsible for brand guardianship on their projects to ensure that the client experience is as positive as possible.  
  • Serve as the point of contact to receive new briefs and manage the process of transforming unclear briefs into well prepared briefs where applicable. Set deadlines with client and challenge unrealistic timelines to ensure workload is managed based on creative processes. Build client relationship and ensure client needs and requirements are addressed.   
  • Client liaison presenting project scopes, cost estimates and timing plans.   
  • Manage team to deliver a wide range of deliverables for social platforms. Guiding and mentoring the team as they navigate ever-changing landscape. Prioritize and manage workload of the project team.   
  • Take overall financial control of projects, including profitability, accuracy of forecasting, as well as fee negotiation, providing regular and timely reports to the team lead.  
  • Be accountable for the delivery of growth targets for the account. Drive continuous improvement through each step of the process and consult on process improvements.    
  • Escalation point if the client or processes are not adhered to, or where there are process gaps. Ensure that these are captured along with a suggestion for improvement, and work with the GLT to rectify this.  
  • Proactively problem-solve, identify and mitigate risks and create mitigation plans.   
  • Negotiate to create win-win compromises with your client on behalf of your team members where needed.  
  • Identify new business opportunities through relationships, introducing IIG’s & Brandtech Group’s capabilities where appropriate. 

Administrative Duties  

  • Prepare status reports for the stakeholders and actively manage the control of project progress using weekly action points.   
  • Monitor and track the progress of the project delivery within scope and budget with the planned resources and provide regular status updates to key stakeholders. 
  • Run weekly client facing meetings to review work and update on project progress. 
  • Coordinate and work collaboratively with internal teams on client deliverables.
  • Support Influencer Manager to balance workload and priorities, support with briefs, contracts, feedback on content, etc.
  • Support contracts with influencers, ensure all is approved by clients (incl. contracts and campaign reach).
  • Own the financial aspect of the influencer contracts including client budget definition, influencer billing and payments.
  • Ensures meeting agendas and minutes are comprehensive and shared. 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Excellent client engagement skills at Senior Account Manager level with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.  
  • Excellent account leadership skills with a developed financial and commercial acumen, creative judgment, strategic thinking, understanding of data, talent management and business growth.  
  • A proven track record of commercial growth across new and existing business.  
  • First-rate communications skills, with the ability to be articulate in person and in writing and strong presentation skills with an innate rapport build.  
  • A clear understanding of all the Inside Ideas Group's products and how to utilise this knowledge to the accounts advantage.  
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.  
  • Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to studio output.  
  • Willingness to accept feedback and iterate over processes in a highly-collaborative, low-ego team environment. 
  • Process driven and continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Experience in FMCG is advantageous.   

You'll Have:

  • Relevant degree or diploma. 
  • Fluent English. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teamsand other related software. 
  • Familiarity with document sharing platforms such as SharePoint, BOX etc.  
  • Experience working with social channels / influencers. 

Good to have:

  • Experience on global FMCG brands. 
  • Multi-market experience.  
  • International and multicultural exposure.
