Role: Insight Manager

Location:  London



Working in partnership with our client, The Insight Manager is responsible for identifying and providing the data insight which will unleash the potential of the in-house creatives to ideate, and produce assets for on and off platform and report campaigns on social platforms. 



You are someone  with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail



You will be based on-site



  • Own day to day task management of projects across offline and digital channels (CRM, DM, brochure, video, Interpreting audience intelligence into guiding insights to solve a client challenge. 
  • Working with marketing teams to proactively & collaboratively help solve their content & performance challenges
  • Utilise data from various sources – social, SEO, survey and panel data – to build an integrated view of audiences and their needs, behaviours and attitudes
  • Carry out analysis and audits of client’s social channels to understand effectiveness and identify content and audience insights recommendations 
  • Act as the agency champion for audience insight tools and associated products and services across the business 
  • Create insight and thought-leadership pieces based on audience, behaviours and trends
  • Integrate in to The Guardian team (come to team meetings etc) to understand client needs, strategy etc and relate this back to the Oliver creative teams
  • Make regular recommendations based on best practices, trends, and performance
  • Work with the marketing managers to feed insights back in to Oliver
  • Proof work so the client gets get back good quality creatives/ copy 
  • Provide wider marketing/ industry insights to the CM team
  • Able to create test/learn frameworks for keywords, targeting, ad copy, visual assets, and other variables to improve the performance of campaigns.
  • Define KPIs and benchmarks



  • 5 years of relevant experience in display marketing (e.g. Paid Social, Facebook, Native and / or Display Marketing / RTA)
  • Profound knowledge of related tools and technologies (e.g. DSPs, FB Editor, PPC, Google Analytics)
  • Can-do attitude and ability to get things done
  • Proven commercial understanding
  • Self-motivated – demonstrates tenacity, resilience, strives to deliver results
  • Ability to critically analyse and interpret social & content data, summarising findings into meaningful insights
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Attentive to trends in social intelligence and tool/product updates which can improve the quality of our work
  • Culture enthusiast, keeping abreast of news & trends across a range or categories and wider culture
  • Cognisant of brand activities that are effective in driving audience engagement
  • Driven to produce the best insights to fuel best ideas and outcomes for our clients
  • Detail oriented to ensure our proposals and ideas impress
  • An evangelist for our team proactively working to refine and grow our services
  • An entrepreneurial streak to help us capture the ever changing opportunities
