THE ROLE
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting Team with delivering timely and accurate financial statements. This person ensures GL accuracy, plays an important role in month-end, and assists in Accounts Receivable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
- Support Sr Accountant with budget to actuals monthly reporting
- Support AR Specialist with daily customer invoicing and cash application
- Maintain strong accounts receivable procedures
- Manage Sales Tax and Bottle Tax reporting and filing
- Ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with annual financial audit
- Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions that drive efficiencies
- Other applicable projects or duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience working in a high growth business
- Minimum 3 years of Accounting and accounts receivables experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- ERP software experience is a plus (NetSuite preferred)
- Sales tax knowledge is a plus (Avalara)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
- Ability to prioritize effectively among competing priorities
- Ability to work and problem solve independently
- Strong attention to detail, as well as analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to successfully partner with cross-functional teams
- Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred

COMPENSATION:
$70-75k Base Salary + Bonus
