THE ROLE

 

OLIPOP is searching for a Business Insights Manager to join our team and drive high impact in forecast accuracy as we drive our business forward. This position focuses on data and analytics to evaluate performance and inform/support the sales team in identifying trends, celebrating success and exposing areas of opportunity.

In this role you will help lead the charge in forecasting and commercial strategy, maintaining dashboards to track metrics/KPIs, and working cross functionally with Sales and FP&A to deliver on forecast. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own, build, & maintain weekly/monthly retailer and distributor scorecards for field team
  • Support VP & Director level team on tracking & interpreting KPIs across commercial levers in order to identify opportunities, risks, & upsides
  • Use historicals and syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Numerator)  for commercial growth levers and opportunities 
  • Assist commercial team with logic, development, and recommendations on future innovation & product launches
  • Utilizing working knowledge of category, retailer, & commercial landscape to develop strategic plans to drive growth across the business
  • Own, build, and maintain various commercial reporting structures and adapt to the constantly changing areas of opportunity & risk throughout the growth pipeline at OLIPOP
  • Present key findings, logic, & recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams through the organization; specifically with finance, sales, & supply chain 
  • Ability to understand, interpret, & frame how shopper behavior data impacts various channels of the business; utilize this data to build out narratives & recommendations around channel segmentation & innovation architecture

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deeply passionate about OLIPOP, and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
  • Obsession for understanding sales trends. Lives, breathes and dreams about how to better translate sales data for forecasting purposes.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
  • Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills. 
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with demonstrated experience in analyzing raw data 
  • Experience with working directly with SPINS and Neilsen is required.
  • Experience with working directly with Numerator is strongly preferred.
  • Confident in delivering data to executive level forums with a format that is clear, concise, & strategic.
  • Past people leadership experience preferred.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Business Insights & Commercial Planning

 

COMPENSATION: $90,000-$100,000 base salary + bonus
