About the Role: 

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Brand Ambassador to represent OLAPLEX in key retail locations in the Greater London region, with the potential for travel across the UK. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic brand advocate with a strong understanding of haircare products and trends, as well as exceptional customer service skills. You will play a pivotal role in promoting the OLAPLEX brand, and educating customers in Retail stores such as; Selfridges, Sephora, John Lewis and  Harrods. This role will involve strategic planning and execution to successfully deliver retail sales and build relationships with retail store teams. 

You will collaborate with the Retail Education Team to deliver in-store training tailored to both the brand and the retailer, focusing on the education, coaching, and development of the in-store sales team. 

The Brand Ambassador reports into the Account Manager, EMEA Retail Sales and will partner with the Retail Education team to support the overarching brand strategy and target sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Business Performance

  • Represent OLAPLEX at designated retail locations, providing a positive and engaging customer experience
  • Utilizes and demonstrates solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail market and haircare industry to build business across respective region in key Greater London and UK doors
  • Capture consumer insights, sales trends and traffic patterns for learnings that will grow sales and gain brand presence
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any stock needs/issues that may inhibit business
  • Support Account Management team in driving sales and brand awareness; communicating sales goals and client engagement strategy

Coaching, Training and Education

  • Drive Brand education: ensure staff is well-versed in brand messaging, differentiation, and assortment
  • Deliver brand training to dedicated and department-wide staff on product knowledge, service experiences, selling and leadership skills 
  • Assess staffs' incorporation of skills and techniques taught and overall sales performance 
  • Deliver effective sales coaching: modeling, observing and providing feedback to ensure effective delivery of sales techniques for varying consumer profiles, including cross selling techniques for new consumers, to ensure sales goal achievement 
  • Analyze and evaluate how the team is using training knowledge to drive sales and demonstrate the ability to identify top performers to develop future bench, as well as recognize and coach to opportunities for improvement 
  • Educate teams on top selling OLAPLEX products and increase the staff's ability to recommend products relevant to the customer 

Build Relationships and Events:

  • Create and maintain strategic retailer partnerships
  • Build brand presence through key relationships within retail space
  • Partner with retailers to develop and execute innovative in-store events and use learnings to maximize effectiveness of the market calendar long term

Travel:

  • This role will be field based and is a full-time position (must be able to work weekends)
  • Will be required to travel by public transportation or car to meet territory needs with reimbursement for travel costs/mileage

About You:  

  • Previous experience in a Brand Ambassador, Sales, or Retail role, preferably within the Beauty or Haircare industry (3+ years)
  • Previous experience working in Selfridges, Sephora John Lewis and Harrods is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Availability to work 5 days a week, including weekends
  • Organized work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PPT, Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive, problem solution driven
