About the Role: 

We are looking for a creative, talented and passionate Integrated Communications Director to be responsible for all areas of PR, advocacy and social media for the EMEA region. In this role, you will focus on driving the brand and product strategy for engaging media (consumer and trade), influencers and hair professional.

This role will report into the VP Global Communications and Consumer Engagement, and the role will involve working very closely alongside Global PR & Marketing teams as well as EMEA Commercial teams while working autonomously across the EMEA region.

In addition, this role will leverage, partner and lead local PR Agencies to develop, implement, report and analyze strategic PR plans to launch new territories, stores, NPD and brand campaigns and engage with the diverse OLAPLEX audience to drive increased brand awareness and sales.

  • Adapt and evolve strategies and communications plans to be executed locally to grow brand awareness amongst targeted audiences
  • Promote core brand values and work closely with all departments (from sales, digital, training & education, NPD, global, design and marketing) and partners to deliver integrated campaigns and relevant content
  • Serve as key partner to brand marketing in developing strategic media partnerships, events, and activations - partner with regional teams on programs to support specific and key retailers (eg key sephora PR events)
  • Create and manage communication strategies and plans to support brand portfolio and NPD, driving brand pillars and delivering on key brand objectives.
  • Propose local launch plans for key NPD activity and marketing campaigns
  • Deliver plans for securing and utilizing pro and digital influencer credentials
  • Guide local agencies to develop and secure consistent, regular, quality and on-Brand advocacy (print, .com, broadcast and social) across all key outlets
  • Gate keep the brand online/ offline and work closely with distributors to ensure they are supported and telling a consistent story
  • Develop plans to elevate and enhance corporate image for OLAPLEX within the beauty and PR industry and beyond with focus on building brand reputation in the UK
  • Develop the local strategy for working with influencers and professional hairstylists
  • Manage and motivate PR agencies on a daily basis to deliver plans
  • Manage paid influencer partnerships with local agencies including contract negotiations and influencer identification
  • Drive local social media content creation through creator partnerships working closely with the global social team
  • Track spend against international PR budget, in tandem with the program KPIs
  • Manage and oversee reporting and tracking platforms, identifying key insights to optimize brand strategies

About You:  

  • Minimum 10 years experience in communications with a track record of success in planning, adapting and executing successful communication strategies. Familiarity with the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle sectors is preferred
  • Established network of media and influencer contacts in the UK and Europe, specifically related to beauty, fashion, or lifestyle including journalists, editors, influencers, and industry insiders
  • Demonstrated experience in building and executing global communication plans that have delivered measurable results
  • Ability to think strategically and align communications efforts with broader organizational goals
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, e-commerce, and education
  • Drive for innovation and a creative approach to problem-solving, event ideation, and gifting
  • A self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of identifying and pursuing new opportunities
