About the Opportunity:

The Risk function at OKX is responsible for the overall risk and fraud prevention culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. We’re also deeply committed to moving the needle on risk standards for the crypto industry, building products in a compliant way, and protecting the company from financial, regulatory and reputational risks. Our team consists of seasoned risk professionals who are based across our global offices.
 
Our vision is building a world class smart and scalable risk service that will prevent, detect, and respond to fraud which will improve business revenue, reduce user friction, and enhance user trust . As the leader of it, you will own and build OKX fraud risk systems and manage the roadmap to enable our legitimate customers to gain access to a wide array of crypto assets. The scope of this role includes designing and developing risk models, risk products and risk platforms, integrating with fraud & risk vendors, enabling healthy business growth and enhancing customer risk experience. This role will work closely with risk strategy, risk analytics, operations, engineering partners and compliance to achieve the business success goals of the company.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive risk product / business of OKX to world-class, align risk product initiative and development with business, engineering and risk strategy teams so that financial losses, customer experience and business growth are well balanced
  • Lead product roadmap, strategy and execution of Risk Platform; develop and champion product features, including but not limited to decision engine, feature stores etc, to empower data strategy & data science teams to easily implement, execute, and carry out decision strategies across the entire user journey, and at the same time detect & prevent financial losses due to scams, ATO and other fraud activities
  • Lead ML/AI model projects as the foundation of the Risk Platform; work with data science, data analyst, ML engineering and development team to build, implement, monitor and constantly improve model services
  • Highly adaptive and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Highly data-driven in product & business decision making process
  • Passionate about customer experience; always driven to seek customer feedback and obsessed with customer experience improvement & optimization
  • Define and monitor all levels of metrics to measure the success of the product; drive epic and sprint level prioritization and product backlog grooming etc
  • Strong and positive collaboration skills to lead and drive the entire product research, design and development process with cross-functional stakeholders 

What We Look For In You:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline. Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in the risk management area, familiar with risk decision engines, modeling services, risk analytics tooling etc
  • Ability to translate product strategy into detailed requirements, and communicate the requirements clearly to cross-functional teams, including but not limited to engineering, business, partnership, operation, merchant tech etc; solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in software development
  • High proficiency delving into the technical product, system and implementation details. Able to engage with engineering beyond just product and user experience needs; willing to roll up sleeves and design scalable and extensible solutions
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, including product research, design, delivery and launch
  • Data oriented - identifying, defining, tracking and acting upon impact metrics. Experience identifying KPIs and working with engineering and analytics on instrumentation and monitoring
  • Experience leading cross functional teams to deliver complex projects with multiple dependencies and constraints in a highly dynamic environment

Nice to Have:

  • Past experience in AI and machine learning
  • Crypto/Blockchain experience or a passion for Bitcoin, crypto, Defi and blockchain technology
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
