About The Opportunity

The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company.
We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. AML/CTF, Sanctions, and regulatory risk management are core pillars of our Compliance programme and key areas of risk that we proactively seek to mitigate.
The position reports directly to the Compliance Lead, Singapore.
 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks to meet Singapore regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in regulatory enquiries where required by coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and assess compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
  • Participate, track and monitor compliance reviews, uplift initiatives and investigations.
  • Support the creation of Compliance reports, including reports to management and the board, and other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Engage cross-functionally (with groups such as Business, Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk) to implement an effective compliance management program in line with the global standards and industry best practices.
  • Draft and implement policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and other materials from a regulatory compliance perspective to ensure adherence with MAS regulatory requirements. This includes those relating to the Payment Services Act and Regulations, Business Continuity Management, Outsourcing, as well as regulations relevant to Major Payment Institutions.
  • Provide sound, coherent and commercially minded advice and compliance support on all matters relating to OKX Singapore activities.
     

What We Look For In You

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of solid experience in compliance with the financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries.
  • Deep understanding of relevant Singapore regulatory requirements, in particular, MAS regulations relating to consumer protection, fair dealing, business conduct and data management.
  • Team player and cultural change agent with strong collaboration and proven project management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
     

Nice-To-Haves

  • Prior experience working in a US multinational or matrix environment.
  • Compliance-related certification such as CAMS or CCAS.
  • Prior experience working in a licensed cryptocurrency exchange in Singapore will be viewed very favorably.
  • Experience in dealing with audits and/or regulatory examinations.
