About the Team

The Global Legal team provides legal advice and guidance to OKX and its affiliated entities across all legal practice areas and geographic locations, and supports business growth by working with all teams within the company to help them achieve their goals. Our team of 30+ attorneys are located around the world, and handle legal matters in 100+ countries across the globe.

About the Opportunity

As an Associate General Counsel, Investments, you will primarily support OKX Ventures, OK Group’s venture capital arm. But you will also work closely with all members of the Global Legal team and business leaders throughout the company. You will be working from our offices in Hong Kong.

The right candidate will have relevant legal experience and an enthusiastic belief in the cryptocurrency/digital asset space, experience working for a top-tier law firm or in-house at a prestigious financial services, technology or cryptocurrency company, and possess excellent writing and analytical skills. What You’ll Be Doing

Take lead on advising the group’s proposed and ongoing investments on a global basis, be responsible for all stages of the investments, from due diligence to closing, and also on any subsequent issues that may arise.
Liaise with and update relevant internal and external stakeholders closely, including both senior management and all relevant departments internally to take instructions and manage expectations, and project owners, counterparts, and advisors externally.
Handle commercial contracts and other transactional matters in APAC and beyond.
Advise senior legal management on ad hoc legal issues concerning the group.
Partner with our risk, compliance and licensing teams to provide ongoing support in monitoring the changes in the legal landscape relevant to cryptocurrency and technology in relevant jurisdictions.

What We Look For In You

Common law degree holder (LLB/ J.D.)
Qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE
Trained and qualified in a common law jurisdiction with relevant experience obtained in a reputable international law firm/organisation
Commitment to ensuring the team succeeds with all tasks, duties and projects and willingness to help a team member in need
Sound judgment on business practices, internal and external stakeholder relationship management and reputational risk
Proficiency in spoken and written English, working-level Mandarin and Cantonese a definite advantage
Well-organized, detail-oriented, presentable and with excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
Ability to approach situations and challenges with a sense of humor

Nice to Haves

In-house experience at a global financial institutions, technology company, or crypto exchange/Web3 company
Experience in advising public companies on listing rules compliance
Experience in dealing with crypto matters and legal issues involving digital assets
