About the Opportunity

The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. AML/CTF, Sanctions, and regulatory risk management are core pillars of our Compliance programme and key areas of risk that we proactively seek to mitigate. The position reports directly to the Head of Compliance, Hong Kong.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks to meet Hong Kong regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in relevant regulatory applications where required by coordinating with external assessors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance framework meets Hong Kong requirements.
  • Monitor and assess compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
  • Participate, track and monitor compliance reviews and investigations.
  • Support the creation of Compliance reports, including reports to management and the board, and other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Engage cross-functionally (with groups such as Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk) to implement an effective compliance management program in line with the global standards and industry best practices.
  • Draft and implement policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and other materials from a regulatory compliance perspective to ensure Hong Kong VASP licensing commitments and obligations are fulfilled.
  • Provide sound, coherent and commercially minded advice and compliance support on all matters relating to OKX Hong Kong's activities.

What We Look For In You

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of solid experience in compliance with the financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries.
  • Deep understanding of relevant Hong Kong laws and requirements, in particular Securities and Futures Commission regulations relating to consumer protection, business conduct and data management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with regulators on licensing efforts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience working in a US multinational or matrix environment
  • Compliance-related certification such as CAMS or CCAS
  • Prior experience working in the crypto industry
  • Experience in dealing with audits and/or regulatory examinations.
  • Working level Cantonese or Mandarin
