About the Opportunity
Our mission is to help the next billion people experience the future of finance. We’re looking for a design systems leader to help build the future of our multi-brand design system, manage a team of product designers, and develop a culture of consistent design in all areas where we interact with customers.

We are looking for an experienced, detail oriented design systems leader with a strong vision to help expand our large scale, component design system to support multiple brands, products, and a global audience. As a design systems leader, you will empower our design and engineering teams to work faster, collaborate more effectively, and deliver high quality experiences for our customers throughout the world. You will be responsible for iterating on and creating new components, as well as building a robust system of documentation. You will collaborate directly with product and content designers to foster consistency in thought, process, and execution. You will work closely with design system engineers to build themable components and patterns, powered by design tokens. You will partner closely with other design systems designers throughout the world to achieve a single, unified approach to design systems.

What You’ll Achieve
  • Create and maintain intuitive libraries of components, patterns, and assets through research, iteration, and documentation
  • Empower consistency throughout design and engineering by creating, documenting, and managing design tokens and design data
  • Build and advocate for processes and practices that help our organization reach new markets through globalization and accessibility
  • Partner with cross-functional peers in Design, Product, Content, and Engineering to deliver experiences that help our customers experience the future of finance
  • Support and train product designers to utilize and contribute to the design system

  • Evangelize systems thinking and advocate for consistent, high-quality craft by collaborating with designers throughout the organization
  • Think in terms of systems, not just one-off solutions, that scale across our entire ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Brand, and Product leadership to shape the overall vision and product strategy to develop visual design principles for how the brand is expressed in our products
  • Consistently elevate the quality of the design by soliciting feedback from peers and stakeholders through formal design review, presentations, and by facilitating workshops
  • Remain current on industry and design trends as it relates to branded product experiences
  • Work closely with engineers to build robust components and patterns

What We Look For In You
  • Experience working hands-on with design tokens or contributing to a multi-brand design system
  • Deep understanding of Figma componentization and design system best practices
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience collaborating with globally dispersed cross-functional teams of Designers, Product Manager, Engineers, Content Designers, and Researchers

  • Ability and willingness to manage and mentor other designers on IxD, Design System, localization, and accessibility
  • Familiarity with designing for multiple platforms including native and responsive design
  • Basic understanding of development disciplines including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Swift, XML (You don't have to know how to code in any of these languages, but that would also be nice!)

Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
