The Opportunity:
Ohalo Genetics is seeking a motivated Director of FP&A and Strategic Finance to join our growing team. This role will be a pivotal addition to our world-class team and will report to the Chief Administrative Officer. This role will be responsible for Ohalo’s financial planning & analysis, including analysis that drives strategic decisions for Ohalo’s existing and new strategies, products, and commercial collaborations, and will help implement and oversee improvements to our expense management systems and procedures. The selected candidate will be fundamental to Ohalo’s success and will meaningfully contribute to achieving its mission to enrich lives and help the environment.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead overall financial planning processes, working very closely with the leaders of each function
- Prepare Ohalo’s overall financial plans and models, corporate budgets and forecasts
- Drive resource allocation decisions tied to the company’s goals
- Connect and collaborate with department representatives with data necessary to make strong operational decisions by helping them interpret analyses and measure progress against goals
Strategic Finance:
- Assess the financial implications of new strategies, products, and strategic collaborations, partnering closely with key stakeholders to impact strategic business directions
- Support pricing and ROI discussions for existing and new strategies, products, and strategic collaborations
- Work together with the Chief Administrative Officer and CEO on Leadership Team and Board communications related to Ohalo’s financial planning and execution against plan
Operational Finance and Expense Management Controls:
- Work closely with Ohalo’s outsourced accounting team to oversee accounting, accounts payable and expense management systems and processes, with division of responsibilities to be determined
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Deep financial planning and analysis experience, typically developed through 5+ years' relevant experience
- Preference for both investment banking and corporate experience, ideally in a fast- paced environment such as a venture backed startup or fast-growing technology company
Core Competencies:
- Mastery in developing rigorous financial models and budgets
- Ability to compile and insightfully analyze financial data
- Sophisticated process design and interpersonal skills to plan and execute on cross-functional financial initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communications skill with the ability to analyze and translate complex information into clear reviews and reports
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and critical deadlines
- Working understanding of how to be successful in a fast-paced and flexible environment.

Below is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience, education, skillset, and other relevant qualifications. This range is for the Bay Area, California location and may be adjusted to the labor market in other geographic areas.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $135,000 - $165,000
