Overview

The Account Manager will be the trusted partner of the client, who meets their expectations and with whom they can have an honest dialogue about making the work better. They will be a key part of the strategic development of the campaigns they work on and be the lynchpin between the client and the Strategist to ensure work delivers on business objectives and brand vision. 

Key Accountabilities

Client relationships: 

  • Responsible for overall client engagement and relationship health 
  • Develop, maintain and extend client relationships. Become your client’s trusted partner 
  • Develop understanding of the client’s business. Understand their pressures, products, goals and motivations, both on a project and business level 
  • Provide guidance and counsel to clients to help them achieve their business objectives
  • Helps set and manage expectations, as well as and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Ensures client satisfaction with all aspects of agency performance  

Strategy: 

  • Aware of clients’ business objectives and priorities
  • Understands clients’ competitive set
  • Works with strategists on briefs and contributes to briefing process
  • Shares their POV on the strategy and asks questions on the brief
  • Actively contributes to the strategic process; has an ability to apply strategy and impact how it translates in the creative work 

Creative: 

  • Has a broad frame of reference beyond industry to help guide briefs and stimulate teams 
  • Demonstrate & articulate creative understanding and shares their POV on the work 
  • Understands how ideas can travel across media 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in marketing, communications, advertisement, media, digital, public relations, etc are good to have
  • 3+ years of experience in communications or related field; industry experience preferred
  • Professional writing skills, strong presentation capabilities (proven media relations skills)
  • An independent worker that works well on a team and can be proactive and a self-starter
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner
  • Advanced knowledge of working software (Office 365, etc.)
  • Japanese Business~Native level and English Business level are good to have skill
