About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Account Executive to join us in Ogilvy Health working on exciting and highly promising new therapies currently in clinical trials, including neurology and cardio-renal-metabolic therapy areas. You will provide client services and project management support for account teams, working closely as a close-knit team to deliver projects. The project work is varied with a focus on early strategic planning and disease awareness campaigns, so there will be plenty to get stuck into and keep you challenged and motivated.

There are several ongoing initiatives within Ogilvy Health outside of client work that you can choose to get involved in including our culture and social team and our various fantastic DEI groups, created to champion diversity in the industry, our agency and our work. You'll discover that we are a very friendly, non-hierarchical, eclectic team, bound together by a desire to do the best work of our lives.

*Please note this role is being hired on a 12 month fixed term contract basis initially. Although we cannot guarantee it, there is the possibility of the contract becoming permanent during this time*

We have offices in London, Oxford and Manchester so we're happy to look at a location that suits you best. Everyone works 3 days from the office each week and the rest of the week from wherever you work best. There are 2 agency anchor days where we like to bring everyone together to collaborate, socialise and share our best work. These are Tues & Weds for London and Weds & Thurs for Manchester and Oxford.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Account Executive you'll be responsible for the day-to-day planning, organisation and execution of client programmes, including:

  • financial project management of assigned projects;
  • the management and routine decision-making responsibilities for multiple small/medium-sized projects with support from the senior team members;
  • acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for individual projects;
  • active involvement in the strategic and scientific requirements of the account; facilitation of effective team working

As an agency we always look to challenge the status quo and bring a genuinely different and creative way of thinking to the projects we deliver for clients and the way we work together. Members of our team need to be enthusiastic and committed to helping us continually innovate, evolve and develop. We are looking for candidates who understand and implement a proactive, client-focused approach at all times and who set the standard as a positive role model for more junior members of the team to follow. You will need to be able to apply consistently high standards, tailor your style according to the audience, present confidently and be able to develop and build relationships with clients.

What You’ll Need

You are someone who adept at prioritising to meet deadlines, you look to find solutions and assess resourcing needs for the account. Being able to anticipate potential problems with projects and clients and know how and when to raise these with senior colleagues is key. We are looking for people with excellent attention to detail and first-class project management skills. All of our team need to be committed to understanding our client’s brand strategy and apply this to the development of tactical programmes and proposals.

We are looking for candidates who enjoy the challenge of looking for gaps in our client’s programmes and developing ideas and new business proposals. Effective financial management of client budgets and internal reporting processes is a key part of this role. We are looking for candidates who are confident and effective with finance, and budget estimates and invoices, tracking of project financial status and managing internal reporting and invoicing.
