Your Mission

OfferZen is looking for a dynamic Lead Performance Marketer to join our Growth Marketing team. As a pivotal player in our marketing strategy and execution, your role combines the expertise of a Senior PPC Specialist with the strategic vision of an Affiliate Marketer, enhanced by a strong acumen in business intelligence and data analysis. Your mission is to drive high-quality B2B and B2C acquisition through paid channels, optimise our affiliate marketing function, and oversee the efficiency of our job board postings and analysis systems across all channels. You will be a key contributor to our performance marketing strategy, ensuring that every rand spent maximises ROI and contributes to the growth of the OfferZen marketplace in African and European regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the Performance Marketing Team Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive performance marketing strategy that encompasses PPC, affiliate marketing, and job board activations, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Data Analysis & Business Intelligence: Utilise data analysis and business intelligence tools to provide deep insights into campaign performance, market trends, and customer behaviour. Make informed decisions based on data-driven insights to optimise marketing spend and campaign performance.
    • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, such as impression/reach, CTR, clicks, conversions and revenue generated from all performance marketing efforts
    • Combine insights from paid platforms and other tools, such as Google Analytics, Hubspot and Looker, to uncover insights about campaign performance and user behaviour to improve channel strategy.
  • Affiliate & Job Board Management: Build, maintain, and optimise our affiliate marketing function and job board partnerships. Ensure that all contracts are up-to-date and performance metrics are accurately tracked and analysed for continuous improvement.
    • Identify and launch new job board partners to expand our job board network; nurture relationships with job board partners
    • Continuously test and optimise job boards to improve click-through rates
    • Automate the job board function where possible to improve team efficiency
  • Cross-Channel Optimisation: Oversee and optimise all performance marketing channels, including LinkedIn, Google, Facebook/IG, Reddit,  job boards, and affiliate networks, ensuring cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Content, Product Marketing, Data, Analytics, Design) and external partners to ensure efficient collaboration and visibility of campaign performance.

Background (Qualifications, Skills, Experience)

  • Minimum 3+ years in performance marketing, including hands-on experience with PPC, affiliate marketing, and analytics
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful performance marketing strategies that drive acquisition and ROI.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, business intelligence tools, and performance metrics, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Intermediate Excel/Google sheets skills required.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Experience working in a global marketplace or other high-growth online business, with an understanding of regional nuances in European and African markets.
