About the role:

We're looking for someone to help drive business and product strategy by analyzing market trends and educating leaders on the market landscape. Successful candidates for this position will have or quickly develop a deep understanding of the ecommerce and mobile ecosystem (trends, players, economics, technology, etc.), and will be able to communicate their insights effectively across the organization.

Here’s more of what you will get to do:

  • Contribute thought leadership on the future state of the marketplaces and OfferUp’s overall growth strategy
  • Collaborate with C-level leadership to develop forward-thinking strategies in support of marketplace growth
  • Provide sophisticated research and analysis on market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive moves to help drive product roadmaps.
  • Go deep into data (across OfferUp and market data) to uncover key insights about OfferUp's positioning in the market, then effectively communicate these to leaders across the company
  • Create business cases for business and product initiatives, with a focus on product market fit, market, and opportunity sizing.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or other related disciplines from a top-tier institution. MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of strategy, finance, and/or business operations experience, preferably in the digital media or internet space.
  • 5+ years of experience leading strategy projects at a top-tier consulting firm or in a corporate strategy team.
  • 5+ years of analytical and modeling experience, 
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and solve ambiguous and diverse market problems.
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and influencing skills.
