About the Role:

As the Sr. Growth Marketing Manager at Octave, you will play a pivotal role in driving new member acquisition through paid marketing channels. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing innovative campaign strategies within Search and Social that drive conversions, increase brand awareness, and generate revenue. You will also lead the exploration of new channel expansions that will drive incremental conversions at an efficient CAC. This role should possess a deep understanding of the key metrics driving success and are dedicated to optimizing ROI. Collaboration with product, design, content, agencies, paid channel experts, and business intelligence teams will be essential to identify growth opportunities across the business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Demonstrate high levels of creativity and ingenuity in devising solutions that transcend conventional approaches; design campaign strategy and execute on new prospect acquisition strategies and tactics across paid social, search, affiliate/direct media buys, display, OOH, and test into new channels.
  • Budget Management: Directly manage multi-million dollar budgets, optimizing creative assets, target audiences, and marketing channels to meet customer acquisition cost (CAC) targets.
  • Customer Acquisition: Lead initiatives to acquire new customers through diverse channels, including Paid Social, Affiliate Marketing, Direct Mail, and B2B2C avenues; monitor and report on campaign performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
  • Analytics Collaboration: Partner with Analytics teams to develop comprehensive reports on marketing performance; measure, analyze, and communicate weekly paid media performance to internal stakeholders and senior leadership while thinking strategically about long-term drivers of channel platform success.
  • Channel Forecasting: Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast paid channel performance, informing budget allocation and resource planning.
  • Creative Testing and CRO: Design and execute A/B tests to optimize various elements of the client journey including ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies, to improve conversion rates and CAC efficiency.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify strategic opportunities and potential threats.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including BI, product, finance, brands, comms and design to align paid marketing efforts with overall business objectives; ensure alignment, understanding, and buy-in for strategies and initiatives including paid media strategy, testing and optimization, go-to-market timelines, measurement, and reporting.
  • Creative Savvy: Possesses a keen insight into emerging creative trends and formats, enabling the development and execution of paid social campaigns that will drive conversion.
  • MarTech Leadership: Act as a thought leader on MarTech stack, staying abreast of emerging technologies and advocating for their integration where applicable.
  • New channel expansion: Experience launching new channels (such as audio, streaming, direct mail, or Out of Home), testing into new markets and scaling into those new channels. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prefer 6+ years experience in integrated demand and paid media expertise in adtech and martech including GTM, Google Analytics, DSPs, Google media channels Meta, LinkedIn, Direct Mail, OOH, streaming/connected TV, audio,  localized strategies etc.
  • Extensive experience with major advertising platforms and analytics tools, managing multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Previous exposure to healthcare or regulated industries is preferred; familiarity with HIPAA requirements and their implications for marketing activities.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Deep expertise in analytics tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, and/or Mixpanel with the ability to interpret and extract insights from multiple and complex data sources and effectively communicate those results across the organization.
  • Agency Management: Experience in effectively managing and communicating with agency consulting, and freelance partners to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of sharing insights and working effectively within a team environment.
  • Testing and Segmentation: Proven experience to drive performance optimization with hypothesis-driven A/B testing and segmentation strategies to drive performance improvements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet. 
  • Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop. 
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future. 

The salary range for zone 1 (all states not in zone 2 or zone 3) is $132,100 - $153,100.

The salary range for zone 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is $145,300 - $156,900.

The salary range for zone 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is $154,00 - $164,000.

All zones are eligible for equity in the form of stock options.

Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
