Summary:
Are you a numbers whiz with a passion for turning data into impactful decisions? We’re looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate to analyze key financial metrics, optimize costs, and support strategic decision-making.
You'll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams, assist with budgeting & forecasting, and help drive business growth through data-driven insights.
What you'll do:
- Strategic Analysis & Decision Support:
- Conduct in-depth analyses of key financial metrics to identify opportunities for business growth and cost optimization.
- Support decision-making processes by providing clear and concise recommendations based on financial and operational data.
- Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives aimed at improving overall organizational performance.
- Cost Optimization Initiatives:
- Analyze cost structures and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
- Support leadership in implementing cost-saving measures across the organization.
- Month-End Closing Support:
- Assist in financial close processes by reconciling and validating data from multiple departments (sales, revenue, product, and engineering).
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance to leadership.
- Identify and resolve variances or discrepancies in financial data.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for various departments.
- Monitor actuals versus budget, provide variance analysis, and offer actionable insights.
- Partnering with the department leads to ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration with Sales & Other Teams:
- Work closely with the sales and revenue teams to analyze performance metrics and identify trends.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
- Act as a key finance point of contact for cross-departmental queries and initiatives.
- FP&A Database Management:
- Maintain and update FP&A databases and models to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Streamline data collection and reporting processes using tools like Google Sheets and SQL (if applicable).
- Implement best practices for data management to enhance efficiency and reporting.
Who we're looking for: (Skill Sets and Qualifications)
- B.Tech + MBA (Finance) preferred, candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Consulting, Corporate Finance, or a related analytical role.
- Strong understanding of the financial statements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Logical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
