About the Role
We are seeking a Mortgage Sales Engineer to support our sales team in driving adoption of Ocrolus' solutions within mortgage lending. This is a predominantly pre-sales role with some post-sales involvement, focused on helping mortgage lenders optimize their workflows through automation. The ideal candidate has deep mortgage industry knowledge, understands underwriting guidelines, and can consult with processing, underwriting, and operations leaders to drive efficiency gains.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the technical expert and trusted advisor during the pre-sales process, demonstrating how Ocrolus’ technology improves efficiency in mortgage origination.
- Partner with Account Executives to deliver compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and value-based discussions tailored to mortgage lenders.
- Work closely with processing leaders, underwriting leaders, ops leaders, and C-suite decision-makers to understand their challenges and position Ocrolus as a solution.
- Lead proof-of-value exercises with clients, guiding them through real-world use cases to demonstrate measurable efficiency gains and the impact of automation in their loan origination cycle.
- Collaborate with post-sales and implementation teams as needed to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of our technology.
- Provide feedback to internal teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success) to help refine Ocrolus’ mortgage offerings.
- Travel as needed (~once per month) for client on-sites, sales meetings, and industry conferences.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of mortgage industry experience with a deep understanding of the mortgage origination cycle and underwriting guidelines.
- Strong understanding of mortgage guidelines and mortgage origination processes to effectively consult with clients and drive adoption.
- Strong consultative sales approach—able to map technology to business challenges and drive change management conversations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior mortgage executives.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and work cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams.
- Experience working with API-based SaaS solutions and loan origination system (LOS) integrations is a plus.
Note:
The full-time salary range for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000 + commission + equity + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
