We are looking for an Application Support Engineer with excellent debugging skills in Java/Python applications, troubleshooting and communication skills in enterprise-grade applications. You will be supporting an open and talented product development team that works on mission-critical products and applications. Application Support Engineer responsibilities include managing Java/Python application debug and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot production issues affecting our operations.
  • Understand the code flow and application functions.
  • Understand the points/replication steps given by the development/product team.
  • Correct the existing code if required, which should be well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
  • Ensure patches and hotfixes comply with specifications along with the company specification.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.
  • SLA adherence for keeping applications running in a highly available environment.
    Should be an excellent team player and should be able to take responsibility for driving tickets to resolution.

    Requirements:

  • Graduation in IT, Computer Science, or any Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software/Application support roles.
  • Hands-on skills with SQL Queries, Tables, Joins, etc.
  • Experience in debugging/supporting web applications using at least one popular web framework in Java/Python.
  • Excellent debugging skills, Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Version Control Systems like Git and GitHub.
  • Must have experience with Incident management and ticketing tools like JIRA.
  • Willingness to work in 24*7 rotational shifts.
  • Excellent client-facing skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good to have prior experience working with cloud infrastructure like AWS.
