We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join us as our Supply Chain Project Manager on a permanent contract based in Hatfield!

You will work closely with other departments including support functions, Trading and management teams from Ocado Retail, Morrisons and third parties to ensure the high standards of the Central Supply Chain and Planning team are consistently met and Improved. You will be encouraged to develop new skills and working practices in line with this exciting and evolving business

 

Accountabilities 

  • Manage projects to support business growth and that will produce cost savings and efficiencies across the supply chain operation
  • Promote effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the operation, Ocado Retail and third parties to deliver supply chain initiatives
  • Managing project scope, timelines and resources ensuring the projects meet the business objectives
  • Develop and implement reporting processes to communicate project status to management
  • Managing and reporting risks, issues and change in a timely manner
  • Monitoring lessons learnt with a continuous improvement approach
  • Work internally and externally to ensure continued business growth and KPI standards
  • Support in developing long-term strategic plans within Supply Chain
  • Develop and implement new or improved supply chain processes and strategies at a tactical level 
  • Ability to work unsupervised and remotely when required

 

This role has many focus areas and may change and evolve as the business changes. This is a creative role, and gives opportunities to develop a range of skills including project management, and communication / presentation, cross functional working, relationship building and cost saving responsibility.

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous Project Management experience in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills, planning and achieving results through effective change management
  • Drive & enthusiasm, demonstrating ability to adapt to fast pace and rapid change and resourcefulness when faced with challenges
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining accuracy & keeping to deadlines
  • Ability to influence effectively and build constructive working relationships across the business
  • A proactive team player, polite, helpful and approachable and willing to share information, knowledge and skills with others. 
  • Ability to fit in and guide others in the team and wider business
  • Confident decision maker who is able to work independently and on behalf of others
  • Excellent computer literacy, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel) to at least intermediate level
  • A customer focused outlook and the ability to see how day to day issues can impact the customer experience
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to working hours to support a 24/7 business operation
