Within Ocado Group sits Platform Implementation, whose mission is ‘to orchestrate the implementation of Ocado’s platforms globally’. This department focuses on the full programme management life cycle of the implementation of our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) - from pre-deal, through to the design, construction, installation, testing and ‘go-live’ phases (with all the process and portfolio management in between). This department is instrumental in ensuring we deliver these CFCs on time, to budget, and to the specific requirements of each client.

The Engineering and Supply Chain department plans, configures, supplies and fits all the engineering aspects of the Ocado Smart Platform(OSP) into our clients’ automated Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) around the world. We create and manage the detailed engineering plans ensuring efficient and effective delivery for our global clients.

What will you be doing?

Order and Invoice Control

  • Capture, receiving in Oracle and chasing of payment for overdue invoices with the payables team
  • Checking and recognise all queried invoices (overcharged, duplicated, miscoded etc.)
  • Recording, manage and control all Purchase Orders and Invoices process in the Engineering Department

Procurement and Budget Sheets Support

  • Checking raised orders if correct with allocated budget, task and category
  • Checking budget sheets daily
  • Creating budget sheets
  • Updating budget transfers
  • Controlling budget sheets and comparing with Oracle reports
  • Supporting with orders and budget queries 
  • Provide trainings and guidance to the Oracle users - orders

Administration:

  • Archive and storage of all financial documentation raised and needed in the Engineering Department (including: scanning, making copies, filing)
  • Provision of relevant process and system training for new starters
  • Support with managing budget sheets in Excel
  • Support invoice process

About you:

  • Attention to detail
  • Competent user of MS Office 
  • Excellent level of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in financial management
  • Oracle IP Procurement Experience
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with key customers, and all other process partners as appropriate
