What does the team do?
Collaborate on ground-breaking technologies at the most disruptive, cutting-edge of Ocado’s business. We’re growing our multi-disciplinary R&D team, in our exciting lab space right in the heart of Stockholm.
Using the newest technologies and techniques, our group operates a radical agile product development methodology, iterating fast with design, manufacture and testing of next-generation robotics in a single facility.
The successful candidate will embrace the opportunity to work in a collaborative research environment, knowing their ideas are valued and that their work will see high impact products put into production environments.
What would I be doing?
As a Mechatronics Engineer, your focus will be on delivery and supporting our product/services while working effectively within the team. You might also be mentoring new team members and driving technical excellence in the team.
What are we looking for?
We see the following as “must haves”:
- MSc in engineering or equivalent experience
- Must be have experience in both and strong in one of;
- Embedded C/C++ programming
- Design of electronics or embedded systems and the surrounding tooling required for testing
- Good Python / Scripting knowledge
Having these will make you stand out from the crowd:
- Motor control and control algorithms
- Embedded Linux and Device Tree
- Testing of mechatronics systems
- PCB design tools like Altium Designer
- Experience with ARM microcontrollers preferably STM32
- Software development with Git

We operate out of a dedicated facility located on the beautiful island of Långholmen, right in the heart of Stockholm. A short walk from Hornstull t-bana, our waterfront office houses a state of the art hardware workshop, electronics lab and additive microfactory, all within a 200+ year old converted shipbuilding shed overlooking Södermälarstrand.
