Position Summary:

We seek a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to oversee small to mid-sized projects for federal government clients in the DC metro area. This individual will work across teams and functions, taking charge of leading technical teams in the planning, managing, and executing of technology projects. The TPM will serve as the link between the customer-facing Program Manager and the internally-facing technical teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at directly engaging with clients in a consulting and delivery capacity to address complex enterprise cloud or on-premises software and technology projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical project management support to the customer team in the day-to-day management of the team.
  • Assist in creating processes and procedures for the management of the team.
  • Work on consulting engagement workstreams to address risks using best practice cross-domain.
  • Communicate with team leads and senior leadership, assess changes, and rapidly change direction in support of new and/or changing program requirements.
  • Ensuring we are providing everything from conducting Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Overall Delivery Timelines, and also identifying potential risks
  • Develop close relationships with our Program Managers to manage projects effectively. From leading team scrums, setting expectations, monitoring project progress, and keeping the teams on pace to meet goals.
  • Develop testing plans, collaborate with testers, and get feedback for improvements and adjustments. Additionally, you will be rolling out the documentation to cover network diagrams, functional diagrams and O&M,
  • Regularly interface with clients at numerous levels of an organization—project managers, stakeholders, end-users, data owners, analysts, IT groups, management, and executives—to drive the delivery of technology projects.
  • Understand CIO structure and organizational hierarchy, SAFe agile processes, and available resources throughout the company.
  • Successfully integrated into the SAFe functional team as a key leader and functioning technical project manager. Establish rapport and good working relationships with all team members. Monitor the project execution and track risks. Communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in Big Room Planning as a key representative of their respective SAFe functional team. Create a high-level project plan and keep it up to date. Identify dependencies and corresponding stakeholders.
  • Manage project cost, schedule, and performance and ensure stakeholders are aware of key project activities.
  • Provide client interface and consulting support to delivery and engineering teams on business analysis, technology approach, solutions, project management process, and client engagement to drive delivery success.
  • Demonstrated proposal writing experience with knowledge of the proposal process and color reviews.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties.
  • All other duties as assigned by Oasys managers and contribute to Oasys' proposal activities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to work under only general direction.
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Independently determines and develops an approach to solutions.
  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and produce deliverables within tight timeframes and under pressure.
  • Proficient with consulting and technical tools (MS Office Suite, analytics, etc.)
  • Organizational fit for the culture, that is, exhibit the values of Commitment, Caring, Integrity, Fun, and Passion

Clearance:

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must possess an active Secret or ability to obtain one.

Required Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Scrum Master Certification
