• Author and manage the development of multiple high quality proposals, budgets and change orders for new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to develop a robust scope of work and competitive budget for proposals.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections.
  • Ensure that all required information is provided in the final proposal within a given timeframe for delivery.
  • Work with the business development, project management and scientific teams (as necessary) to ensure the proposal meets the business needs of our clients.
  • Obtain approvals by reviewing proposals with key scientific consultants and management.
  • Look for efficiencies in proposal generation and actively maintain/update Nuventra’s proposal template library with new strategies for positioning Nuventra’s proposals for award.
  • Maintain quality results by using/updating templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.    
  • Participate in new client interactions to identify the potential scope of work and overall project needs of the client and translate that into a robust proposal.

  • The ideal candidate will have pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO industry experience or relevant work experience and be highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Experience with Phase 1 studies is a plus.
  • Given the written nature of our work product, you must ensure that deliverables (proposals, budgets, etc.) reflect the high quality that clients come to expect of our work.
  • Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must have the ability to work in a team setting and independently with little supervision to produce key deliverables.
  • This is an office-based position in Durham, NC. The possibility of working remotely for east coast candidates can be discussed.
