About You

Nutrafol is seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day inventory and cost accounting of the business. You must be a highly driven, high-energy, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

You will be expected to problem solve, drive process improvements and exercise good business judgment.  You will work closely with the Accounting Team, Supply Chain team and other business partners and be responsible for accurate and timely inventory data management as well as inventory-related projects and reporting activities, as requested.

Responsibilities

Costing:

  • Maintain and improve the current cost accounting system and cost accounting policies. 
  • Setup and Maintain Bill of Materials.  
  • Manages the pricing and costing of products.
  • Develops inventory analysis reports and analyzes variances.
  • Assist accounting team to ensure COGS is reflected correctly in daily sales/accounting transactions.
  • Reconciling Vendor Production/Fulfillment records to Nutrafol’s accounting records.

Inventory:

  • Organize, calculate, and enter inventory-related transactions,  inventory invoices and associated freight cost ) into the accounting system daily. 
  • Assist with quarterly and annual Inventory Counts - Investigate count variances and resolve issues.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries as needed
  • Reconcile 3rd party inventory systems on an as needed basis.
  • Review and reconciliation of inventory transfers and adjustments throughout the month.
  • Track, report, and resolve any inventory-related errors or discrepancies.
  • Perform reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts related to inventory valuation, inventory deposits, capitalized inventory, and inventory accounts payable.
  • Assist to streamline the monthly close process, as it pertains to inventory transactions.
  • Support year-end audit preparation and analysis.
  • Other accounting and finance related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Quickbooks Desktop , eCommerce + Inventory experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus 
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience.
  • 3rd party audit completion.
  • Experience in start-up/high-growth eCommerce or CPG business.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adhere to tight deadlines, and be unafraid to ask questions.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to manipulate, digest, and summarize large amounts of data.
  • Requires minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements.
  • Passionate about accounting operations and willing to roll up your sleeves.
  • Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to various audiences.
