Who You Are:

As Nutrabolt's PR Director, you will work closely with internal teams and external agency and media partners to drive Nutrabolt brand comms. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing a PR strategy to generate exposure and drive brand awareness and consumer demand. You will play a key role in ensuring important brand moments garner press headlines, as well as securing always on press coverage. 

This role is eligible to participate in our Management Bonus plan.        

What You're Good At:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive PR and comms strategy that aligns with the C4 Energy, Cellucor, XTEND goals and objectives 
  • Owning relationships with both beverage and active nutrition trade publications and lifestyle publications to ensure Nutrabolt brands are front and center during key brand moments and product launches
  • Collaborating with the brand team to maintain consistent brand messaging designed to speak to the brand’s target consumers across all comms channels 
  • Managing external PR agency relationships driving the workload, productivity, and effectiveness of agency resource 
  • Outside-of-the-box thinking – pushing the internal and external teams to create exposure driving activations 
  • Delivering trimester PR 360 plans aligning to larger department and organizational goals 
  • Coordinating with social media, paid media, commercial, and internal comms teams to use earned PR beyond the initial placement
  • Budget management – maximizing the PR budget to ensure effectiveness and ROI 
  • Setting benchmarks/KPIs and reporting on campaign and always-on results optimizing for efficiency when possible 
  • Being a liaison between the brand plans / external PR and the internal corporate communications team to ensure employees are well-informed of product and campaign launches
  • Occasional support of executive communications such as press releases, interviews, panels, speaking engagements, and/or podcast interviews 
  • Occasional support of employer communications such as HQ facilities, local ATX friendlies, and hometown brand comms 

 

What You Contribute: 

  • 7+ years of experience in PR / communications 
  • Strong media relations skills with a track record of securing positive media coverage 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term PR and communication strategies 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write and edit press releases, create effective presentations, and interact with executive leadership team 
  • Proven team player with a proficiency in developing high quality internal and external relationships and managing an agency partner 
  • Experience in the beverage, fitness, and/or sports or active nutrition industries preferred
  • Crisis management experience 
  • Experience working with athletes and/or celebrity talent 
  • Go to market planning
  • Executive thought leadership experience
