Excited to join a young startup redefining how enterprises use AI? Apply to be an Engineering Manager on the Numbers Station team. As an Engineering Manager, you'll drive engineering progress, collaborate on product direction, and iterate on company culture with the CEO. You'll serve as an engineering owner to generalize learnings from customers into the core Numbers Station platform. With a combination of strong programming skills and a communication skills, you will have full ownership and responsibility for building, shipping, and maintaining innovative new features across the stack. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Own and build the engineering layers for the Numbers Station analytics cloud
  • Act as a thought leader for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with the peer team across Engineering and Product groups.
  • Mentor and lead the direct reports, help them grow in their career
  • Work directly with the founders of the company setting engineering direction and prioritization.
  • Play a pivotal role and deliver some critical efforts from the product and engineering roadmap.
  • Responsible for the execution of the engineering team's projects.
  • Attract, retain and nurture talented software engineers in the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have seven or more years of experience as a software engineer (or in a similar role), taking projects from the initial concept to production.
  • You have 4+ years of experience working with scalable distributed data processing systems.
  • You have strong experience as a backend tech lead.
  • You have solid system design experience for performant, scalable, and reliable backend microservices.
  • You have a bias towards action and a can-do attitude.
  • You have 1-2 years of experience managing a team of 3-5 engineers as a people manager or tech lead.
  • You have experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders (developers, product management, user experience design, quality assurance).
  • You are a communicative and collaborative manager with excellent people skills and English language fluency.
  • You have experience working with cross-site teams. • You will showcase independence and domain knowledge.
