Nucleus Global are looking to hire a Scientific Director to lead a new medical affairs team. Your experience developing and reviewing content within a MedComms setting will be a vital factor, along with experience building strong trusted clients and effectively managing scientific writers.
You will be a senior scientific member of the existing team and will be involved with streamlining processes for the team, mentoring and reviewing work, as well as delivery of work, including but not limited to training materials, congress and symposia work as well as ad boards.
Scientific and therapeutic understanding of obesity is key, while writing experience including hepatology, diabetes and renal would also be of interest. 
The position holder will be comfortable providing a high-level consultancy service to our pharmaceutical industry clients and ensure the scientific accuracy and high quality of medical communication projects. 

 

Core duties


• Works closely with the Client Services Director and Editorial Lead to ensure scientific excellence 
• Takes the scientific leadership role on a major revenue-generating account and build strong consultancy (“trusted advisor”) relationships with the client team
• Demonstrates and maintains a thorough understanding of obesity and medical affairs in particular 
• Works closely with client services and editorial leads in the development of proposals, medical education and communication tactics ensuring that they are scientifically sound and of high quality
• Supports the delivery of strategic documents (e.g. scientific platforms, scientific statement development) and other deliverables with high scientific and strategic content (e.g. advisory boards, training materials)
• Line manages junior writers.
