Nubank is the leading financial technology company in Latin America. Nubank Data Engineers might solve the following problems:
  • Be able to take initiatives in terms of the data strategy by identifying opportunities for data projects
  • Participate in the business and product discussions to bring the data perspective and translate the needs
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of our data pipelines (ETL) and internal data tools
  • Help to spread knowledge about data best practices in the company (in terms of data modelling, data quality, data pipelines)
  • Create robust and optimized datasets, and tests for those datasets
  • Helping on the decision making by building monitorings, alerts, reports and visualiations

Candidates

We are looking for Engineers that are intellectually curious, enthusiastic, versatile, eager to learn, with a track record of creating efficient, scalable and accessible solutions, preferably in the domain of data infrastructure and tooling. You will have a meaningful chance to shape architecture, process, and culture while working with leading edge technologies. We believe in cultivating good inter and intra team chemistry, enthusiasm for building things, and exercising the amazing capacity to learn new things when we stay humble and open-minded. English language skills are essential.

Desired skills and experience

  • Solid professional or academic experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Financial Analyst or other quantitative disciplines
  • Strong experience with manipulating data with SQL
  • Experience with programming languages (like Python, R or Scala for example)
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Familiarity with BI or visualisation tools like Metabase, Looker or Tableau is a plus
  • Fluent English
