Treasury/Financial Operations is the squad in Nubank responsible to take care of the cash balance (bank accounts), assets and liabilities custody, position settlement from the operational side. And from the financial side, this squad is in charge of accounting all treasury products, derivatives, and profit and loss controls. With all these tasks we will be able to maintain clients’ money purple and increasing each time.

 

  1. The candidate will help manage Nubank cash, providing funding for any crucial processes of the company;
  2. The candidate will have an intense bank relationship that will help Nubank in improve its processes and reduce costs;
  3. The Candidate needs to have minimum financial math knowledge to allow good comprehension over cash return and financial trade;
  4. The Candidate needs to be ready to work under pressure because will work with company cash and will be in touch with all most all squads from Nubank;
  5. The candidate will assist handling any negotiations with a provider.

Typical responsibilities assigned to you might be related to:

  • Cash management and short term cash flow controls
  • Bank relationship to look for opportunities in the process improvement and cost reduction
  • Relationship and negotiation with suppliers
  • Trades settlement
  • Margin call control
  • Banks onboarding to expand and improve Nubank structure
  • Contracts review - Optional: ISDA or similar for the local market
  • Fixed income and Forex knowledge
  • Derivatives knowledge
  • Accounting knowledge, mainly for FI/FX products

 

Requirements

  • Financial academic background and experience in financial areas
  • Critical sense in financial analysis and controls implementation
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Experience with financial systems (SAP is a plus)
  • Strong communicator to expose failures and process improvements
  • Be able to build a strong relationship with other stakeholders
  • English skills
  • Programming skill set is a plus (Python, R, C+)
