The primary function of the Certified Payroll Specialist position is to support in the weekly processing of Nox Group certified payroll. The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, discretion with confidential data and 3+ years of certified payroll.
Responsibilities
- Gather certified payroll data each week.
- Communicate with field workforce and supervision on hours discrepancies.
- Gather information and setup new certified jobs in Spectrum, including but not limited to wage codes, union codes, and fringe amounts.
- Report weekly certified payroll to applicable state agencies, general contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Maintain compliance with Davis Bacon and prevailing wage requirement.
- Create, maintain, and distribute Labor Compliance packages.
- Research and present new state requirements to Payroll Manager as the company expands geographically.
- Backup the Payroll Administrator as needed.
- Provide other administrative support to the People Operations team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Construction In-House Payroll, Prevailing Wage Payroll, and Davis Bacon Payroll.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional accuracy with a focus on efficiency.
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
