NOX Innovations is currently hiring for highly motivated Virtual Construction (VC) Engineers to join the industry-leading NOX Innovations Team. As the VC Engineer, you will transform construction design documents into constructible 3D model content for coordination and fabrication. You may also create 2D fabrication and installation sheet sets from the 3D model.

Responsibilities:

Depending on specific work assignments, all or any of the below tasks may apply:

  • Transform initial electrical construction designs using computer-aided design (CAD) into working 3D models for coordination and fabrication
  • Utilize collaboration systems (Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud) to coordinate model content with other trades involved in the project
  • Make revisions/deviations in model as required
  • Work with the 3D models to create 2D drawings for prefabrication and installation
  • Understand the required 2D content for fabrication and installation drawings
  • Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
  • Work with supervision to learn and understand the VC process and procedures as well as project specific requirements
  • Provide support and training for new team members
  • Effectively manage tasks to meet daily goals
  • Work effectively with VC and prefab team members
  • Competent understanding of Client policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience with Revit and Navisworks is required
  • Knowledge of ANSI GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Organized, systematic and competent to perform detailed tasks
  • Ability to follow direction and a desire to grow with the team
  • Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently and affectively
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Diploma Courses or equivalent is required
  • Experience in other CAD and detailing very helpful
  • Technical knowledge of Mechanical systems, Electrical systems and Construction methodologies/processes via experience or education helpful
