Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services National Security Portfolio is seeking a data scientist who is excited about using technical skills to have a positive impact on national security by providing quantitative modeling and research. The objective of the project is to employ data science and machine learning techniques to construct a holistic pattern of life to understand, detect, and predict anomalies based on large volumes of data.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development of analytical methods to identify anomalies and statistical models to predict changes using advanced analytic methods
- Integrate data from variety of sources, formats, and disciplines into coherent databases
- Create documentation and reports for senior decision makers
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (Mathematics, statistics etc.) Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience using R or related software package
- Experience performing complex modeling and statistical analysis
Bonus points if you have:
- Ability to create code and models to perform operations
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources in various formats into a single database
- Excellent oral and written communication
- High attention to detail
- Experience with advanced analytical methods such as ordinal logistics regression, copulas, LASSO/elastic nets, bootstrapping, and k-fold cross validation

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role
California: $90,700 - $147,100
Colorado: $90,700 - $127,100
New York City: $105,000 - $147,100
Washington: $96,600 - $135,200
