Job Description:
As a requirements analyst, you will work with users, stakeholders, developers and engineers to develop new requirements for inclusion in an Air Force Security Forces Capability. The Analyst will gather customer desires, needs, and business cases (workflows); elaborate the explicit and derived requirements, quantify the benefits of feature(s) for inclusion. These workflows will be documented as Features (Epics) for consideration and prioritization by a requirements working group.
Responsibilities include:
The Analyst will lead a range of activities for requirements elaboration: strategizing with our Project Architect, hosting requirements workshops, interviews with operators, review of existing applications and procedures. While not a usability expert, you will need to develop an in-depth understanding of what the tasks and goals the client is trying to accomplish.
You will identify business and system requirements, translate and decompose those needs into actionable technical requirements, test criteria, and scenarios. You will write detailed use cases for real world client scenarios to support test and evaluation, including identifying edge conditions. You will contribute to team briefings through creation of workflow and other diagrams, drafting slides and content, and reviewing work of other team members. You will assist with editing documentation to ensure it aligns with customer needs, and that it is easy to use and understandable. You will participate in design reviews and testing to act as a customer intermediary as needed.
This role requires maintaining a knowledge of current trends in software design, ensuring the team implements modern IT best practices, and leveraging strong interpersonal communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of working with software development teams in an Agile environment
- 2+ years experience as requirements analyst
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills including managing risk and customer expectations; delivering capabilities briefings to non-technical users or analysts
Desired Skills:
- Experience with UX or HCD
- Experience supporting a force protection mission
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI eligible
