Entry Level Automation Specialist

Do you love technology and collaborating within a technology team?

Our operation-focused automation specialist will focus on projects using technology to improve service for our clients and increase efficiency for our team. In this role, you will own the scheduling and monitoring of processes built by our Automation Team, assist with code management, and help client facing teams leverage our technology to increase their efficiency.

Examples of our custom-built processes include those which invoke APIs to enable business critical workflows, document manipulation, web crawling bots, and other responsibilities related to coding and monitoring Python scripts written by others.

This full-time, non-exempt position is fully remote.  We will provide you with a home office set-up including a computer and a phone.  Nova has been offering remote work for over 10 years. We offer a great work experience for our remote employees!

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in projects identified by management to automate work processes and improve customer service and company image
• Research and implement simple technology solutions
• Maintain scripts and code written by others
• Manage daily job schedule and optimize throughput of production environment
• Deploy scripts and projects from Development to Production environment
• Report regularly to management verbally and in writing
• Interact with our software vendors about potential automation projects
• Communicate with IT group to ensure proposed solutions are consistent with our network standards
• Learn and use industry-specific tools as needed to manipulate data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Work, class, or volunteer experience demonstrating interest in technology
• Work, class, or volunteer coding exposure
• Ability to grow and improve in python coding skills
• Work, class, or volunteer experience demonstrating strength in documenting processes or project management in a team environment
• Interest in or ability to understand basic logic flow within Python scripts
• Curiosity about Nova Associate business
• Passion for helping a development team improve operational maturity
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of current trends
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
• Independent research and analytical skills
• High level of critical thinking
• Coachable
• Work experience in a professional environment a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Comfortable with Microsoft Teams and conference calls as primary method of interacting with team leader

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary $60,000 - $80,000 (dependent on experience)
• Salaried, non-exempt position

• Work from home
• Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
• Attend regular video meetings via Microsoft Teams or equivalent
