The FP&A Analyst for the IoT category will play a critical role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making within the Internet of Things business segment. This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, as well as providing business leaders with data-driven recommendations to optimize profitability and growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the IoT landscape.
Role & Responsibility
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the IoT business, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet projections specific to the IoT category.
- Analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
- Business Partnering:
- Work closely with IoT business unit leaders to understand operational needs and provide financial guidance.
- Present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and marketing, to evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives and product launches.
- Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess the financial viability of new projects, product launches, and other business initiatives within the IoT category.
- Perform scenario analysis to evaluate potential out comes and guide management in risk assessment and decision-making.
- Variance Analysis:
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis comparing actual performance to budget/forecast and provide explanations for deviations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth within the IoT segment.
- Reporting & Dashboards:
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the IoT business.
- Build and maintain dashboards that track financial and operational performance, ensuring that key metrics are visible and actionable.
- Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Support special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis as required by senior management.

Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CA preferred).
- 5-6 post qualification experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably with exposure to the IoT, technology, or manufacturing sectors. Atleast 2 years of experience in same industry + same role.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of the IoT industry and related business models is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and time management.
