What you'll be doing...

We get it. Employee benefits are complicated. Typically, when someone needs to use their benefits, they are also going through momentous changes. They’re newly retired or planning to soon. Or they are dealing with an important health issue. It may be that they are new in their careers and trying to understand what their benefits mean.

That’s where our representatives help. We see this role as a “trainer” or a “teacher” in helping our participants understand the value of the benefits they rightfully have earned.

If hired, you will receive fully paid, on the job, training. With your expertise, you will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to:

  • Regional travel (some overnights) to worksites/union halls to answer participant questions
  • Coordinate and conduct individual, small and large group meetings explaining benefits
  • Take ownership of participant benefit issues to ensure resolution
  • Communicate (verbal/written) with participants in English and Spanish
  • Support activities related to ongoing benefit documentation using MS Office suite of tools
  • Interact professionally & sensitively w/individuals from diverse backgrounds & perspectives
  • Progress through a structured career development program

Who you are...

  • Educated. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experienced: Previous experience in pensions, benefits and/or Human Resources preferred
  • Communication. Strong verbal/written communication; bilingual Spanish language skills required
  • Skilled. Exercise professional judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
