About the opportunity

Northspyre is seeking a self-driven and entrepreneurial Director of Strategic Partnerships to pioneer this critical role. This individual will play a key role in creating strategic partnerships, driving channel leads, and expanding our network in the real estate and financial sectors. The successful candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and capable of creating valuable connections to enhance our ecosystem.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and Cultivating Partnerships: Establishing partnerships with key entities, including lender channel partners, integration partners, and 3rd party service consultant partners supporting clients and the Northspyre platform.
  • ROI and Impact Focus: Ensuring that all partnerships are strategically aligned and contribute to measurable ROI and impact on company targets.
  • Network Building: Establish a network of referral and reseller partners to explore new channels for growth.
  • Marketing Collateral Production: Creating collateral and other marketing materials to support partnership efforts and effectively engage potential partners.
  • Understanding Business Goals: Developing a deep understanding of Northspyre's business goals, products, and areas of value to identify creative partnership opportunities.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting: Managing and tracking the progress of partnership deals on a weekly basis, reporting back to leadership, and demonstrating the ability to achieve key progress milestones.
  • Data Analysis and Strategy Refinement: Collaborating with sales ops and marketing ops to analyze data from partnership-related deals and refining the partnership strategy accordingly.
  • Agreement Review and Compliance: Reviewing partnership agreements, comprehending all terms and conditions, and striking a balance between Northspyre's business interests. Building a standard library of acceptable and unacceptable terms for negotiating subsequent agreements.
  • Deal Documentation: Maintaining a comprehensive summary and abstract of all deal terms, tracking renewal deadlines, and ensuring compliance by taking necessary actions within the deal.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Northspyre at trade shows, webinars, and thought leadership partnerships, amplifying our brand and fostering new connections within the real estate sector.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Partnerships Experience:  Minimum 5 years of experience in business development (B2B sales, Account Executive, Partnership Sales, or other customer facing roles), with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding set targets
  • Entrepreneurial Vision: Demonstrate a highly entrepreneurial mindset by creating partnerships from scratch and pivoting quickly to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Agreements & Contracts: You have experience working with agreements, including structuring and negotiating agreements outside of standard sales contracts and terms of service
  • Executive Presence: You have experience with C-level negotiations and demonstrate an ability to not only think strategically, but also execute effectively to meet business objectives
  • Positive Drive: An unwaveringly positive attitude, boundless energy, and a results-driven mindset, motivating you to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
  • Independent and Accountable: Strong track record of operating independently, running projects, and taking accountability for outcomes.
  • Effective Communication: Outstanding persuasive communication skills, coupled with persistence in follow-up, enabling you to build lasting relationships and close deals.
  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote team environment, exhibiting resilience in the face of change and the agility to adapt to evolving market dynamics.
  • Financial Acumen: Possessing a working understanding of core financial metrics, such as gross margins and COGs, and the ability to assess how deals impact the broader business.
  • Attention to Detail: An innate attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to upholding high standards, ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work.
  • Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time if required, adapting to the dynamic nature of partnership development.
  • Relevant Education: A Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields, underpinning your knowledge and expertise.
