Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones.

Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.

With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, Noora Health has trained more than 10.6 million caregivers, representing over 7 million patients across 10,900+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).

Noora Health was honoured as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at the main stage of TED 2022.

In 2024, Noora Health was honored to be featured in an essay in The New York Times which vividly captured a universal story of love and compassion through our collaboration with Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bangalore, India.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer with a strong foundation in interaction, UX, service, and systems design to help shape the future of our AI-powered caregiver platform. This role goes beyond designing interfaces – you will be responsible for the overall user experience and design quality, ensuring our platform delivers accessible, useful, and culturally relevant healthcare support to caregivers and patients. Working closely with product managers, engineers, and clinical experts, you will design detailed user interactions while shaping the broader platform architecture, including backend workflows and integration with our larger programs. You will ensure AI-driven innovations integrate seamlessly with human-centered workflows, addressing both individual user needs and system-level dynamics, enabling scalability and adaptability across diverse geographies, including India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Map and optimize user journeys within our digital caregiver platform by creating mockups and prototypes to identify gaps in existing interactions and test future design concepts
  • Design end-to-end service flows, integrating digital and human touchpoints to create cohesive, impactful user experiences for caregivers and backend response teams
  • Analyze and design the broader system in which the RES platform operates, considering dependencies among key elements such as AI applications, content frameworks, user interactions, and backend workflows
  • Prototype and test various interactive elements and conversational interfaces that drive user engagement and support behavior change
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to validate design decisions and uncover opportunities to meet system-wide and individual user needs
  • Own the overall user experience and design quality, ensuring that all touchpoints meet high standards of empathy, usability, and cultural relevance. Establish design principles, UI guidelines, service frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • 6-10 years in interaction, UI/UX, or service design, with demonstrated expertise in systems design and accountability for delivering cohesive digital experiences and user flows
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch; familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS) is a plus
  • Strong portfolio showcasing intuitive, user-centered designs with attention to usability and detail. Experience designing within and contributing to scalable design systems
  • Experience designing for culturally diverse user bases, especially in low-resource healthcare settings. Familiarity with conversational UI/UX design and AI-driven products is highly desirable
  • Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally, present ideas effectively, and align stakeholders around a shared vision
  • Comfortable working with engineers and AI teams to design and implement technically feasible, user-centered solutions

At Noora Health, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we understand the value of developing a team with different perspectives, educational backgrounds, and life experiences. We prioritize diversity within our team, and we welcome candidates from all gender identities, castes, religious practices, sexual orientations, and abilities – among many others.
