JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic Medical Officer - Contents to join our team. The Medical Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the creation, refinement, and management of medical contents in our products that support Noora Health’s initiatives in patient and caregiver education, healthcare programs, and remote engagement services. This position will directly contribute to the development of high-quality, impactful content that supports improved health outcomes across various programs. The Medical Officer will collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Medical Content Team, Knowledge Management Team, and Remote Engagement Services team, alongside other teams across Program Design & Development, Program Delivery, and Research.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Content Writing and Development
- Support and own in developing, writing, and creating medical content (in English and other regional languages) for patient and caregiver education programs, training modules, remote engagement platforms, and various health-related initiatives.
- Ensure that content is accurate, evidence-based, and adheres to the latest clinical guidelines and standards.
- Tailor content to different formats, including brochures, training manuals, video scripts, infographics, mobile applications, and other digital platforms.
- Adapt content to suit the literacy and cultural sensitivities of diverse patient populations.
- Content Refining and Reviews
- Review and refine medical content to ensure clarity, coherence, and relevance for the target audience.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, the Medical Director, and external healthcare professionals to validate the accuracy and clinical appropriateness of the content.
- Maintain consistency in tone, language, and style across all content materials.
- Revise content based on feedback from users, healthcare workers, and team members to ensure continuous improvement.
- Content Testing and Feedback Integration
- Collaborate with the Program Delivery team to conduct pilot testing of content across various health settings.
- Collect and analyze feedback from end-users, including patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and field teams.
- Implement necessary changes to improve content quality and effectiveness based on test results and feedback.
- Ensure content is user-friendly, culturally appropriate, and accessible across various literacy levels.
- Medical Knowledge Management
- Assist the Knowledge Management team in organizing, curating, and maintaining a comprehensive medical knowledge database.
- Update content regularly to reflect new research, clinical updates, and programmatic needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of knowledge-sharing platforms and best practices within the medical team.
- Response Services and Engagement
- Support the Remote Engagement Services team by providing medical responses to user queries, feedback, and other forms of engagement.
- Ensure that all user interactions are supported with accurate, timely, and evidence-based medical information.
- Collaborate with external healthcare partners to refine responses and maintain high standards in medical support services.
- Training and Capacity Building
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for internal and external teams.
- Conduct content-related training workshops for program delivery teams, field workers, and healthcare providers.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to teams involved in content delivery.
Collaborations and Cross-Functional Engagements
- Work closely with the other sub teams in the Program Design & Development team to align content with programmatic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Research team to ensure that content is grounded in evidence-based research and follows best practices.
- Coordinate with the Program Delivery team to ensure seamless content integration across all platforms and channels.
- Engage with external healthcare professionals and experts to validate content and ensure adherence to the latest clinical guidelines.
WHO WE LOOKING FOR
- Medical Degree: MBBS registered in National Medical Council; a postgraduate qualification in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Community Medicine, or related fields of health promotion, health education is an advantage.
- Content Development Expertise: At least 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in medical content writing, with an ability to translate complex medical concepts into simple, understandable language.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong foundation in medical subjects, with a good understanding of healthcare delivery and patient/caregiver needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information to non-medical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and engage with stakeholders across departments.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with digital content creation platforms, health technology tools, and content management systems.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and regional languages is a strong asset.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond to evolving program needs.
