Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones.
Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.
With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, Noora Health has trained more than 10.6 million caregivers, representing over 7 million patients across 10,900+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).
Noora Health was honored as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at TED 2022 and was also featured in a 2022 Skoll video.
In 2024, Noora Health was honored to be featured in an essay in The New York Times which vividly captured a universal story of love and compassion through our collaboration with Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bangalore, India.
Note: This is a 3 month contractual role, 64 hours a month.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
We seek a motivated and creative individual with a passion for the impact sector. This role is for a creative and visual thinker who is ready to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers working on the experience of the people in the organization. We are young designers looking at bringing better experiences for the employees through a designers lens and to support it we are looking for someone who is
- Creating High-Quality Visuals.
- Willing to explore different mediums of design for execution of projects.
- Understand Project briefs and Conduct studies across countries to ensure diversity inclusion.
- Internal communication design and development.
- Be a thought partner and executor aligning to the vision of the people experience.
- Depending on project requests, the designer must coordinate with the team when those hours are required.
- Projects will be pre-planned, but many small work requirements can come on time.
- The designer will inform the team about their unavailable days so they do not rely on them for upcoming deadlines.
- Ensure all designs meet the quality standards and guidelines set by Noora Health.
- Maintain regular communication with the team to provide updates on project progress and any potential issues.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and meet deadlines.
- Ability to think and work independently.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Creative consultancy, agency, or equivalent position.
- Portfolio featuring a diverse range of Illustration works and styles in print and/or digital media.
- Willingness to learn and apply Human-centered design in day-to-day work.
- Willingness to learn about the healthcare system.
- Willingness to learn and understand experience design.
- Willingness to learn about culture and values across the global teams to implement into the work.
- Have a genuine empathic curiosity in how to communicate with diverse audiences within the workforce.
- A firm understanding and grasp of Design Principles and a basic understanding of human anatomy and proportion.
- A keen eye for Visual Details.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and meet deadlines.
- Be open to receiving feedback and implementing it.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other relevant software.
