Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones.

Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.

With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, Noora Health has trained more than 10.6 million caregivers, representing over 7 million patients across 10,900+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).

Noora Health was honored as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at TED 2022 and was also featured in a 2022 Skoll video.

In 2024, Noora Health was honored to be featured in an essay in The New York Times which vividly captured a universal story of love and compassion through our collaboration with Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bangalore, India.

WHAT THE PLATFORMS & ENGINEERING TEAM DOES

Noora Health’s Platforms & Engineering team continuously innovates and builds new technology and products to improve health outcomes and save lives. We serve patients and family caregivers across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal throughout their caregiving journeys. We also build solutions for frontline healthcare workers and internal engineering systems that power our larger programmatic work.

We spend a lot of time understanding user challenges before folding up our sleeves to design, develop, and deploy digital solutions that address their needs. We run multiple experiments to validate our hypothesis, adopting the successful ones for wider implementation. Additionally, we visualize complex, voluminous data to gain insights that drive strategic and operational decisions across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Noora Health is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer who will own end-to-end responsibility for development of our digital products for users across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal. This involves clear understanding of user needs while designing, developing and testing of new and existing features across our digital platforms.

Our platforms are undergoing major changes to meet our current and future expansion plans, and you will have a significant role to shape them.  You will collaborate extensively with designers, other engineers, medical professionals, implementation experts, and researchers to pilot and grow our platforms. Simultaneously, you will be an early part of a growing engineering team at Noora, helping set team processes and culture.
