Account Managers work with new and existing customers to manage the day-to-day relationships with key accounts as well as promote growth of the account through exceptional service. This position largely involves identifying customer shipping needs and providing them customized freight shipping solutions.
Focus on retention and growth of our existing customer base.
Assist sales team in closing new accounts
Facilitate onboarding of new accounts through our 90 day new customer process
Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their business models and shipping needs. Use this to ensure a timely and successful delivery of solutions according to the customer’s needs and objectives.
Deliver positive customer service to build long-lasting partnerships with our customers and build trust by going the extra mile for our customers.
Maximize profits through margin control and pricing strategies.
Demonstrate good business judgement. Actively identify new areas of growth and pursue those opportunities.
Educate customers on the freight industry.
Perform customized monthly or quarterly reporting based on customers goals and priorities.
Work closely with both the Sales and Operations (Solutions) Teams to ensure seamless transitions and open communication.
What we look for:
2+ years of Less Than Truckload industry experience
1+ year of Account Management within the freight industry experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Possess organizational skills in a detail-oriented setting
Team player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment
Motivated, outgoing, well-spoken, friendly with a sales-minded personality
Salesforce.com CRM experience preferred but not required
MS Office skills and related computer knowledge
