As the UX designer you will be taking full ownership of the User Experience for a substantial enterprise solution in a growing Australian B2B SaaS company, which is solving real world critical issues in Disaster, Emergency, Health & Safety and Business Continuity Management.

In this role you will be responsible of all aspects of User Experience, from research and validation to the designs themselves over to collaboration with an engaged and passionate team as the advocate for all things User Experience in the development of a product that is used across the world, sometime to literally save lives.

As the UX designer you won’t just be designing static web pages and forms day-in, day-out. Your work will vary from widgets, dashboards and mobile UX, to working with end users to improve their experience with our platform and collaborating with Engineering to ensure what we’re building is the best it can be for the user in a huge variety of designs.

What does it take to be a UX Designer at Noggin?

Most importantly as our UX Designer you will have the energy, drive, and passion to fight for the user’s perspective and to improve these experiences within our platform, working with a talented Product and Engineering group as the voice of the user.

In terms of experience, you will have;

  • 5 + years in software application UX, UI and visual design
  • Deep knowledge of usability and user experience design principles and best practices
  • Experience designing for web-based interfaces including mobile devices and touch screens
  • Experience with an iterative design process and agile software development
  • A strong portfolio including nuanced or complex workflows or application screens, and beautiful visual design applied to web-based or mobile apps

What does success look like in this role?

During your first 3-months we’ll be setting you up for success and giving you as much training as you need to understand our product, processes and the people within them. This is key to understanding all the different areas that you’ll be working with.

After 6-months you will driving design changes and working with customers and user to constantly improve the user experience within our platform. You’ll be starting to have a reputation as the user advocate and someone who is constantly questioning the product and engineering teams to ensure they’re considering the user.

At the 12-month mark you will have made a huge and positive impact on the product and started to lead all UX design for the platform, based on the success you’ve had up until this point. You will be the absolute go to for all things UX and highly respected across the business for your opinions in this space.
