Why become a Digital Tutorial Designer at Noggin?
You are a digital tutorial designer looking for an opportunity to grow your career and work in a fun and dynamic environment. You want to learn more about how to develop user on-boarding and training material - digitally. You'll need to be super smart and self-led - with the ability to manage your own day-to-day tasks. Plus you're passionate about creating learning material, showcasing software, and describing how to use it - simply. You are inventive and always have the end-user’s perspective in mind. You have the ability to work with deadlines in an agile environment. You enjoy working closely with a product development team, product managers, and other stakeholders, to resolve technical and design issues.
What does it take to be a Noggin?
You're creative, yet pragmatic and you've had a good 6-12 months' experience in creating software product walk through and 'how to' content (digital content / videos etc). You've had some basic experience in writing instructional text, video storyboards, and audio scripts to go along with this - but you don't need to be a fully-fledged instructional designer - just someone who knows how to put together the foundations of solid content & on-boarding experiences. You're someone who really enjoys working end-to-end when it comes to delivering anything - this includes writing overviews and scripts to recording and editing the footage yourself. And you like to get a little creative when it comes to adding elements and effects to produce amazing, engaging video content. If you've used tools like Adobe, Camtasia, ScreenFlow, Captivate or something similar - this would certainly be helpful.
What does success look like in this role?
By the end of your time with us, you will have produced some really logical, yet creative and engaging content as part of the release of our next-gen software solution. You'll have worked effectively with our UX Writer and Content Lead as well as the rest of the product team to ensure that our new customers and users have a seamless experience when it comes to learning how to use, and get the best out of, our software. In particular - you'll have really demonstrated your eye for detail and a drive to innovate see your own ideas come to life.
If you’re interested in learning new products and tools as well as working with an exceptional, smart and passionate team, Noggin just might be the right opportunity for you to take your career as a digital tutorial designer forward.
